Vineyards & Wine Tasting

Description

For wine lovers, you will find excellent winemaking (both red and white wines) close to Al Bastini in the local Lucca Hills area (the Colline Lucchesi), particularly at the wineries of Valgiano, Montecarlo and Montechiari –  recommendations for visits and tastings can be made.  Further afield, the great wineries of the Chianti Classico area are only 90 minutes away – including Greve in Chianti, Radda in Chianti, Castellina in Chianti, Gaiole and Castelnuovo Beradenga – here you can find the great Chiantis and many vineyards also have excellent restaurants. We would highlight: Badia a Coltibuono, Brancaia, Brolio, Castellare, Castello di Ama, Castello di Rampolla, Felsina, Fonterutoli, Nittardi, San Felice and Volpaia.  You can also reach the beautiful Tuscan coastal winegrowing area of the Bolgheri in an hour from Al Bastini, the home of some of the greatest winemaking in the world, including Masseto, Ornellaia and Sassicaia – and the beautiful, world famous winegrowing towns of Montalcino and Montepulciano are only a 2 hour drive away.
